Job Description:
Cambridge Schools are seeking experienced and empathetic School Counselors for their Noida and Sriniwaspuri campuses. The ideal candidates will be responsible for fostering students’ mental well-being, personal development, and academic guidance. The counselor will work collaboratively with students, parents, and teachers to support students in overcoming emotional, social, and academic challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral issues
- Conduct regular workshops and awareness sessions on mental health, peer pressure, exam stress, and self-confidence
- Identify students with special needs or psychological concerns and initiate appropriate interventions
- Support academic and career planning in collaboration with faculty and parents
- Create a safe, confidential, and student-friendly environment in line with ethical practices
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of counseling sessions while ensuring confidentiality
- Assist in developing school-wide mental wellness programs and preventive strategies
- Act as a liaison between school, parents, and external professional resources where required
Qualifications Required:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field from a recognized university
- Certification in Counseling or Child Psychology is highly desirable
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in school counseling or child/adolescent psychology
- Prior experience in CBSE/ICSE/International schools preferred
- Proven ability to handle sensitive issues and work with students of diverse backgrounds
Skills Required:
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills
- Empathetic and patient with high emotional intelligence
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in using technology for report-keeping and online counseling if needed
