Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Grades 8–10, integrating literature, grammar, writing, and reading comprehension with clear learning objectives.
Design unit plans, lesson plans, and differentiated worksheets that cater to mixed-ability classrooms and reinforce critical thinking and creativity.
Prepare students for periodic assessments and board-aligned evaluations; create rubrics, conduct formative/summative assessments, and provide constructive feedback.
Integrate technology (presentations, LMS/Google tools) to enhance learning; assign meaningful projects, debates, and presentations to build language fluency.
Maintain positive classroom discipline and a safe, inclusive learning environment; address learning gaps through remediation/enrichment.
Collaborate with subject teachers, coordinators, and the academic leadership on curriculum mapping, cross-curricular projects, and school events.
Lead/assist in English club activities, assemblies, literary fests, elocution/creative writing competitions, and reading programs.
Maintain accurate records—attendance, grades, and progress reports—and conduct regular parent communication/PTMs.
Participate in professional development, audits, and quality checks as per school norms.
Eligibility & Qualifications
MA in English (or equivalent) with B.Ed. is mandatory.
3–4 years of relevant teaching experience at the secondary level (Grades 8–10) in reputed schools.
Excellent command of English (spoken and written), strong pedagogical knowledge, and comfort with digital teaching tools.
Demonstrated ability to design assessments, differentiate instruction, and manage a large classroom effectively.
Warm, student-first mindset with strong collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Attributes
Experience conducting literary events and competitions.
Familiarity with competency-based education and activity-rich classrooms.
Openness to feedback, continuous improvement, and school ethos.
