One World International School (OWIS), a part of Global Schools Foundation, is currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Spanish Language Teacher for its Sarjapur campus in Karnataka. The position is open for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), and is ideal for educators who are committed to fostering global-mindedness and intercultural understanding through language acquisition.
Position Overview:
As a Spanish Teacher at OWIS, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Spanish language lessons that align with the IBDP and MYP curricula. The ideal candidate will bring both subject matter expertise and a genuine passion for international education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured Spanish lessons for MYP and IBDP students.
- Create an immersive language environment to support effective learning.
- Encourage oral and written communication through interactive class activities.
- Assess student progress using IB rubrics and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, and assessment design in line with IB expectations.
- Actively participate in school events, IB training sessions, parent-teacher meetings, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Foster an inclusive classroom culture that respects student diversity and encourages global citizenship.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish or related field.
- IBDP and/or MYP teaching experience is mandatory.
- Fluency in Spanish and English (both spoken and written).
- Formal teaching qualification (B.Ed., teaching license, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2–4 years of IB teaching experience in international schools.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and virtual platforms is a plus.
