Kendriya Vidyalaya No -1, AFS, Hindon was established in 1970 by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. This school provides an ideal environment to encourage educational excellence, with its huge 15 acres of green land and modern building. Here 2421 students and 81 teaching and non-teaching staff members are included.

The academic session of the school begins on 1 April and ends on 31 March. During this time, 50 days of summer holidays, ten days of autumn brake (at the time of Dussehra) and ten days winter brakes (Christmas time) are prescribed.
