Job Description:

The Shri Ram Academy, a prestigious IGCSE curriculum-based institution in Hyderabad, invites applications for the position of Visual Arts Teacher. The ideal candidate will be a creative professional with strong foundational skills in fine arts and a passion for nurturing artistic expression among students. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, pedagogical skill, and an innovative teaching approach to inspire students across various age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach visual arts to students as per the IGCSE curriculum standards.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging art lessons encompassing drawing, painting, sculpture, design, and mixed media.
  • Encourage students to develop their own artistic voice through assignments, critiques, and guided exploration.
  • Maintain a stimulating studio environment that supports creativity and safe practice.
  • Curate student exhibitions and contribute to school-wide cultural and visual arts events.
  • Assess students’ work with attention to both technique and conceptual development.
  • Maintain student records, portfolios, and documentation of progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into cross-curricular activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Fine Arts or Visual Arts from a recognized institution.
  • Certification or prior experience in IGCSE/International curriculum will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching art in a school environment, preferably within an international curriculum.
  • Proven experience in conducting art shows or student exhibitions.

Skills Required:

  • Strong command over a variety of artistic mediums and techniques.
  • Ability to connect with students across age groups and skill levels.
  • Proficiency in creating a visual arts curriculum aligned with international standards.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
