Job Description:
Delhi Public School, Mathura Road is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Western Music Teacher who is proficient in both vocal music and can skillfully play at least two Western musical instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, drums, violin, etc.). The candidate will be responsible for developing students' musical abilities, promoting appreciation for Western music, and preparing students for school events, competitions, and performances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Western vocal music and instrumental music to students across different grades.
- Plan and conduct engaging music lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Prepare students for annual functions, cultural events, inter-school competitions, and examinations.
- Organize and lead the school choir and music clubs.
- Encourage students to develop a passion and appreciation for Western music genres.
- Maintain and manage musical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with other faculty members during event planning and student development activities.
- Ensure discipline and a creative learning environment during music sessions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- Degree or Diploma in Western Music (from a recognized institution).
- Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Western vocal music.
- Ability to play at least two Western musical instruments.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to plan and execute student performances.
- Experience:
- Prior teaching or performing experience in a school or professional setup is preferred.
