Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a NAAC A++ accredited deemed-to-be university and a pioneer in cutting-edge technology education, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the School of Artificial Intelligence at the Coimbatore campus.
We are seeking dynamic, motivated, and research-oriented individuals with a strong academic background and a passion for teaching and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related domains.
- Guide and mentor students in academic projects, internships, and research activities.
- Conduct high-quality research leading to publications in reputed journals and conferences.
- Collaborate on funded research projects with industry or government bodies.
- Design and update course curricula based on emerging technologies and trends.
- Participate in departmental activities, academic committees, and institutional development.
Areas of Specialization (preferred but not limited to):
- Machine Learning / Deep Learning
- Natural Language Processing
- Computer Vision
- Reinforcement Learning
- Generative AI and Large Language Models
- Robotics and Intelligent Systems
- Data Science and Analytics

Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field.
- First Class or equivalent in both UG and PG degrees.
- Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply.
- A strong publication record in SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and top-tier AI conferences.
Experience:
- 0–5 years of post-PhD academic or research experience (fresh Ph.D. graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Industry experience in AI-related roles will be considered an added advantage.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
- Passion for innovative teaching methodologies and academic excellence.
